WIP Wednesday

So I made Natalie's quilt top that I bought last year in Bend.  It's been year, it's about time.  Plus we put up her bed in her room, might as well, there wasn't a bed in there.  Now there is at least a twin bed for people to sleep in.

I changed the pattern a bit, I like symmetry, and it was not symmetrical.

I also made this dress, no pattern, I had made it to go over her head, and it fit in the beginning phases, but once done it wouldn't so I ripped out the shoulder seams and put snaps on. I would have done things a little different had I known that was going to happen.  Oh well, she seems to like it and I love the fabric (from Fresh Squeezed Fabric) I got it on sale, along with some to make shorts for Aiden.  That will be today's project.. or tomorrows.. next week?  we'll see. I have a lot going on these days. See ya tomorrow!!

Truthful Tuesday

I just got dressed.  For the first time in 2 days.  It's 12:30 PM Pacific time and I didn't take a shower.  Yep, that's rather truthful.   BUT I did make a romper and shorties for Natalie yesterday...and did some laundry....kept the house clean?  yeah, I got no excuse.  Some days are like that.

and an all around good time.... good music, loin cloths, bare breasts, body painting, homemade clothes and a good dose of acceptance.  Things I want my kids to aways be surrounded by (well the loin cloths are optional)

after a morning at the hot fair, what a better way to cool off then with smoothie cycles!  Happy weekend everyone!

4th of July

Happy 4th to you and yours!!

We had a great day taking the dog for a swim, climbing trees,

Hanging out on the docks

Finding leaves

Having mama time

Rocking tank tops

Driving down to Siuslaw Falls

BBQ-ing!

Then to Harrisburg for the fireworks

We watched the snuggled under quilts

and of course this year Aiden was old enough for sparklers, pop its, and (with help from Daddy) some fountains and ground flowers.

and flowers were planted... because they make me happy and I got them on sale.  It was making me sad to look out the window and see the weed block coming up and the ugly red bark mulch!

WIP and Thankful Thursday... can I do both?
